I have been in my AL-only ultra-roto league for eight years. This past weekend the Positive Friction Fantasy Baseball League had it’s annual auction.

Keepers in this league are set with auction values and contracts and I kept ten players out of a maximum of twelve. I had $154 entering the auction which maintained that I needed to watch my spending. I was roughly sixth overall in the amount of money I had to spend in the auction.
After keeping all of the infield and supplementary IF positions (MI, CI) my main auction goal was to acquire outfielders and starting pitchers. I fully intended on going after Giancarlo Stanton but pulled out of the bidding when his price reached $46 – and in retrospect I’m glad I did – because I was able to get a deeper OF with the available funds I had to spend.
